About us

When Aimee, the founder of Bamukunde Foundation, was living in a refugee camp as a child, her greatest wish was to have access to education. Her mission became to help other refugee children to access education.

Our mission

Our mission is to ensure that all refugee children have access to quality learning opportunities. We endeavour for the inclusion of refugee children in the national education system of the country in which they have sought protection.

SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION

Please fill the form to sponsor a child or a young refugee and commit for a period of 10 months for access to school and vital needs in and health.

Rwandan refugee children in Mehaba refugee settlement camps

We have registered 21 children that need various education related support. Among them we have 8 orphans that have been adopted by families living in that camp.

In collaboration with the local catholic church, we assist children that are most vulnerable and we need sponsors that can assist them.

In these refugee camps, there are children from Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo. The most vulnerable among these children are Rwandan refugee because their support from UNHCR has been suspended.
